Factors To Build A Strong Immunity

The bodies immune system is a very complex participation of the lymph,
spleen, thymus, bone marrow, parotid and blood system. Most people believe that
the immune system is principally made up of lymphocytes circulating through out
the body. This level of immune activity makes up only 3 to 5 percent of the
bodies immunity. The lymph system performs a much greater role, 75 to 80 percent
of immune protection, with the final last 15 percent involved in our mouth,
intestinal tract and fluid of the eyes. The contributing factors of the total
immune system is much more complex and through science just currently being
understood.

Thymus complex is a product which provides support for all of the complex
relationships combined to provide total immune support..

DESCRIPTION
Thymus Complex is composed of freeze dried [Lyophilized] thymus, spleen,
adrenal, lymph, placenta and parotid tissue with the addition of Vitamin A, C,
E, Zinc, Bone Marrow, Bee Pollen, Echinacea, Colostrum and Germanium in a base
of synergistic herbs.

PHYSIOLOGY
Thymus Complex is composed of New Zealand freeze dried glandulars which retain
all the natural healthy proteins, and co-factors. These are intrinsic and may be
an adjunct in aiding the body to heal itself. It is important for vegetarians or
others lacking animal dietary protein. Which the body may use for glandular
repair and maintenance, plus for hormonal imbalance. With the added vitamins,
minerals, and herbs, Thymus complex helps to maintain good health and may
prevent disease.

NUTRITIONAL FUNCTIONS
The Thymus is responsible for the synthesis of hormones which characterize the
special immune T-cells. These lymphocytes are derived from the lymphocytic stem
cells
in the bone marrow from which they migrate into the blood stream to the
liver, spleen, and thymus. In these organs the specific thymic hormones, such as
alpha and beta thymosin, cause the synthesis of special glycoproteins which
attach themselves to the walls of special T-lymphocytes. These cells are then
allowed to migrate to the lymphoid tissue to take up residence and establish the
body's cellular immune system. The thymus also excretes a hormone which
activates these T-cells and makes them more aggressive in their activity of
defending the body from invading organisms. Drs. Levey, Trainen and Lloyd, at
the National Cancer Institute at Bethesda, showed that a thymic hormone
stimulated the spleen and lymph nodes to produce lymphocytes from their own
plasma cells. Thus, freeze dried thymus is added to further the immune response.

The Lymph and Spleen tissues are added to cleanse and heal the body and build up
the immune system. The spleen is essential for blood formation, storage,
circulation, filtration, and repair. It activates proteins to identify abnormal
blood cells
and aid in destruction of bad cells. The lymph tissue takes the
place of the thymus in adults since the thymus atrophies sharply by the time
most people reach puberty. The lymph system is like a second blood stream in
that all tissues are bathed in lymphoid serum and come in contact with
lymphocytes. Its main functions are defending the body against invading bacteria
and viruses, absorption and identification of large molecules from the small
intestine
and the cleansing and detoxification of the body.

The Parotid glands are important in the formation and secretion of saliva, which
ensures the first stage of digestion in lubricating food. Normal saliva also
contains enzymes and isothiocyanates which protect the GI tract and kills
unfriendly bacteria. The parotid also secretes ptyalin, which splits starch into
smaller, more soluble oligo saccharides. These saccharides aid the starch
splitting function of the pancreatic juices.

The Adrenal glands secrete hormonal steroids- Cortisol and Aldosterone. Cortisol
fights stress, stabilizes blood sugar patterns and maintains the activity of a
number of enzyme systems. It increases glucogenesis conversion of amino acids to
sugar to metabolize carbohydrates, increases free amino acids, decreases the
rate of cellular utilization of glucose, and increases protein synthesis in the
liver. It functions to increase fat mobilization, to stabilize lysosomes, to
prevent breakdown of cells, and to reduce inflammation.

Vitamin A promotes growth and protein synthesis. It is essential for its role in
the synthesis of nucleotides, proteins, glycoproteins and lipoproteins. It
prevents keratinization of skin and eyes, and promotes resistance to disease and
possibly cancer by activated synthesis of antibodies, which destroy foreign
bodies
and protect cells from attack. Vitamin A potentiates BCG, which is the
immunity factor produced to fight cancer cells. BCG is synthesized in the body
through stimulation of the immune system by injection of foreign organisms or
cells. Vitamin A is essential for secretions of the mucous membranes, for the
genito-urinary and gastrointestinal tracts, for anti-infective response, for
building of resistance, and for the epithelial tissues. Vitamin A is also
essential for the adrenal cortex support, steroid hormone synthesis, and
mucopolysaccharide synthesis. It builds resistance in the respiratory tract,
maintains a healthy condition of the outer layers of many tissues and organs,
and keeps epithelial tissues from drying, shrinking, hardening and degenerating.
Vitamin C is essential for the cement of the cells and for hydroxylating proline
and lysine-amino acids necessary to crosslink protein chains for the basis of
connective tissue strength. It detoxifies small viruses, bacteria of all kinds,
certain fungal diseases and heavy metal poisonings. It also helps with symptoms
of drug withdrawal. It is necessary for synthesis of adrenal steroids and as an
antioxidant in aqueous portions of cells. It is important for the formation of
bones and teeth, all connective tissue, strength of the blood vessel walls,
cartilage, ligaments, capillaries, intestinal walls, bone marrow and joints. It
is necessary for iron absorption from the intestinal tract when iron-rich food
is ingested. Vitamin C guards against infection by stimulating the white blood
cells
.
Vitamin C aids in the production of interferon, an important immune system
substance. It stimulates metabolism and is used in preventing colds, hay fever,
scurvy, sore teeth and gums, loose teeth, muscle pain, poor healing, tender
skin, purpura, tender knee joints, infections, viruses, arthritis, rheumatism,
broken bones, cataracts and eye infections.
Vitamin E prevents oxidation of Vitamin A, beta-carotene, unsaturated fatty
acids
, steroids, sex hormones and cholesterol. Oxides, epoxides and peroxides of
rancid foods cause cell damage and premature aging. It also prevents oxidation
of thiol groups such as methionine and thiamine, protects red blood cells in the
blood stream from oxidation, prolongs cell life, promotes healing of all tissues
and organs in the body, body fats, and lipids. It protects the structure and
function of muscle tissues and capillary walls. It prevents neuromuscular
diseases
, circulatory diseases, and muscular dystrophy.

Zinc is essential for respiration, immunity, appetite, growth, synthesis of
nucleic acids and healing wounds, burns and skin disorders. It is vital for
normal prostate and sex organ health. Zinc helps prevent diabetes, stretch
marks, prostatitis, and baldness. It helps absorption and activity of vitamins,
especially the B vitamins, phosphorus, protein, and 25 enzymes involved in
digestion and metabolism of carbohydrates. It helps detoxify the body in case of
copper and cadmium poisoning. Several recent studies have shown that zinc is
essential for the synthesis of thymic hormones and the proliferation of various
types T-cells.

Echinacea activates immunity, restrains infection and clears toxins, according
to Peter Holmes. It reduces inflammation, antidotes poisons, resolves tumors,
relieves pain, and promotes tissue repair. It is good for bacterial and viral
infections throughout the entire organ system and the body. It helps heal
wounds, resolves fevers, pushes out eruptions, dredges the kidneys, enlivens the
lymph, promotes cleaning and health of the skin, restores the stomach and works
with swollen glands.

Colostrum is pure lymph factor that is excreted by the mother's breast to build
up a baby's natural immunity three days after delivery. Colostrum is one of the
few substances that stimulates immunity through the oral ingestion of natural
factors.
